HelpAge Tanzania wishes to recruit an Integrated Protection Team Leader position will be based in Kibondo District, Kigoma Region.

Integrated Protection Team Leader – (One position)

The Integrated Protection Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Head of Office/HPM in the coordination of PSN assistance and services at camp and host community levels. This entails building effective collaboration with a diversity of stakeholders, ranging from refugees, community representatives, humanitarian partners, host communities and local authorities. The Team Leader reports to the Head of Office/Humanitarian Programme Manager combined with maintaining lateral communication and coordination of activities and staff at field level, whilst also supervising the Field Management teams (FMT) operating in the two camps. The tenant will also act on behalf of the Head of Field Office during his/her absence and represent the organization in its partnerships with government and other stakeholders.

Person Specification

Bachelor’s degree in social studies, Conflict/Disaster Management, psychology, social work, physiotherapy or any other related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant working experience in protection-related sectors, preferably within an NGO.
Strong theoretical, and practical background in protection, inclusion and engagement.
Proven training skills and capacities in developing trainings’ curricula
Strong skills in networking with partners, donor liaison and government at all levels.
Able to gather and critically analyze data, gaps and trends related to Protection issues.
Strong report writing skills, including proposal development and case building.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage efficiently multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks.
Solid time-management skills, resourcefulness, and attention to details.

Self-starter, right attitude, and consistent sense of respect to dealing with vulnerable groups such as the Persons with Specific Needs.
