Job Title: Information System Officers – Intern (2 position)

Job location: Head Office, Tandahimba, Mtwara

Information System Officers – Interns (2 Positions) at TACOBA

Job purpose:

The role is responsible for Maintain banking software, design and develop other 

application packages and provide instant support to systems users to ensure systems  availability in supporting banking operations. 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop and test program modules and reports to ensure that they  meet business requirement.
  • Tests and implement new patches or upgrades to the various systems to ensure  compliance to specific business needs.
  • Review the existing and new packages to support new business requirement  and recommend appropriate interventions in line with policy.
  • Perform system disaster recovery procedure in line with the Bank Policy and  procedures to ensure system availability as per Bank’s Business Continuity Plans.
  • Monitor, record and resolve issues to the assigned systems to ensure systems  are operational and availability to users
  • Perform system changes and system acceptance testing to ensure systems are  operational to support bank operations.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time by  immediate Supervisor.

Technical Skills:

  • Communication and Presentation skills, Planning and Organizing skills,  Interpersonal and Computer skills, Coaching skills as well as Reporting and  analytical skills.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft  Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in ICT or related subject from  recognized Institution.
  • Should be aware with ICT operations ∙ Business Awareness / Achieving business performance
  • Self-empowerment through ICT to enable development of open  communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support business of  the Bank.
