Job Description
Our Client is seeking a Human Resource Manager who will develop and implement the company’s human resource strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and its current and long-term business objectives in the country. This includes planning, directing and coordinating human resources programs, policies and activities such as recruitment and retention, talent management, performance management, succession planning, rewards management and employee relations.
Responsibilities
- Champion company mission, vision and values through enhancement of business culture and change initiatives in line with business goals and benchmark best practices
- Develop and translate HR strategies, policies and guidelines while ensuring the company remains competitive and compliant within the labor market.
- Ensure all policies are in line with market, and best practice guidelines.
Lead the annual review and update of all HR policies to ensure alignment to the overall business objectives. - Ensure that all employees fully understand their obligations and rights in terms of all policies and ensure that management and employees remain compliant to policies and guidelines.
- Ensure that the organization design and positioning of employees within the structures are aligned to principles and procedures.
- Ensure that all employees have a current reviewed position description that support the organization design and business objectives.
- Ensure all recruitment are well managed to deliver optimum resources to the business to meet and exceed the business objectives and expectations.
- Optimize individual and team performance across the company through fostering an appropriate organizational climate and culture that support.
- Use effective regular internal communication process to optimize individual and team performance.
- Oversee, co-ordinate, and assess risk relating to all industrial relations matters and ensure that company interests are protected.
- Establish an employee forum to provide regularly and receive feedback from employees.
- Ensure that the company builds a strong culture of talent development through effective dialogue, feedback and talent development initiatives using all the tools available.
- Drive performance and capability development within the company by ensuring robust Succession
- Plans are in place for all key roles in the company with regular reviews/updates with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the objective assessment of employees to provide impactful development plans and career opportunities. Ensure the HR teams support heads of departments in the review processes.
- Develop and implement a clear training and Development platform and tools to deliver capable and effective talent to the company to meet its business needs.
- Take the lead in the development and monitoring of internship programs and talent identification initiatives.
- Manage all elements of the HR budget to ensure efficient and effective use of our resources.
- Monitor progress monthly of all HR related projects and costs and where necessary, take corrective action to ensure delivery within budget and agreed timelines.
Knowledge and Experience
- Education: University/Equivalent in respective area
- Qualifications/background: Human Resources, Business Administration or Law
- Work Experience: At least four years and above in the Human Resources Position
