Job Title: HR Specialist
Reports to: Talent Management Manager
Department: Human Resource

Job Purpose: (one sentence describing the overall objective of the job and why the job exists)
Providing the support and assistance to the HR department in various areas of human resources functions. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key Accountabilities: (main accountability statements in the form of verb/noun/results area – not list of tasks)
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding activities, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientations, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and electronic, ensuring data confidentiality.
- Assisting with payroll and benefit administration.
- Assist in processing employee changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Prepare HR-related reports and documents as requested.
• Benefits and Compensation:
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
• Learning & Development:
- Assisting with coordination of training and development programs
• Employee relations:
- Assist in managing and resolving employee issues, concerns and problems.
• Performance Management:
- Assist with BSC preparation and effective closure of performance appraisals
• Compliance:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Help with HR audits and investigations as required.
• Young talent Management:
- Assisting in handling partnered universities communications
- Assist in preparing universities activities and events.

Job Requirements:
- Years of experience: Minimum 2 Years, Preferred 4 Years
- Bachelor’s degree in HR/Labor relations or
- Academic Qualifications: any other related field
- Professional Certificates: HRCI/SHRM/CIPD
- Language proficiency: English & Swahili
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office
