HOW TO SEE RESPONSES TO APPEALS

The 2,177 needy students who were successfully assigned or increased the levels of loans they were previously assigned, are advised to get detailed information about their loans through permanent credit information accounts known as SIPA (Student’s Individual Permanent Account).

LOANS ARRANGED TO 76,261

The move to arrange loans for needy students who appealed makes the number of all first year students who benefited from loans for this year 2023/2024 reach 76,261 who have been admitted to various institutions of higher education in the country for undergraduate studies (Local Undergraduate Degrees) and their loans are worth TZS 221.28 billion.

It will be remembered that, 74,084 undergraduate students had already been assigned loans worth TZS 214 billion in three Phases announced respectively on Friday, October 20, 2023, Friday, October 27, 2023 and Thursday, November 2, 2023 before the opening of the appeal (November 8 to 17, 2023) to enable students who were not assigned or who needed to increase their credit levels for the academic year 2023/2024 Of the 76,261 first-year students assigned loans, 43,468 (57%) are male and 32,794 (43%) are female.
