Location: Dar es Salaam
Job Purpose: ZCLL is seeking a qualified and experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities for the Role
- Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training to employees and management.
- Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations.
- Assists in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in taking appropriate action
- Assists in carrying out industrial hygiene surveys
- Assists in carrying out inspections of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance.
- Assists in the establishment of workplace safety and health committees.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in logistics will be added advantage
