Job Description:

We are seeking a Finance and Accounts Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance and accounting functions.

You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management, budgeting, and bookkeeping while contributing to our mission of enhancing healthcare access.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and expense reports.
  • Help with financial data entry and reconcile financial statements.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the development of financial processes and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting financial analysis and providing insights to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in grant and project financial management.
  • Support other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles and terminology.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently.
  • Passionate about promoting health equity and making a positive impact in underserved communities.

Duration: 6 months (starting with 3 months remote, subject to change based on circumstances).

Compensation: Monthly allowance and monthly internet package.

Location: Flexible (remote and on-site work).
