EXECUTIVE CHEF

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time role for an Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning, directing, cooking and managing the culinary vision and day-to-day operations of the Kitchen. The Executive Chef will be responsible for curating menus, quality control and food cost control. The Executive Chef will be in charge of team and responsible for training the team up to standard. The successful candidate will also ensure that all food safety regulations are met and maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in the kitchen.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Management of Food Production Function: Oversee the entire food production function within the place. b) Culinary Leadership: Be accountable for all culinary activities at the place, ensuring innovation and creativity in cuisine
c) Menu Planning and Budgeting: Plan menus, oversee product purchasing, and provide budgetary guidelines for the culinary department.
d) The candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to develop new concepts,
e) Operational Excellence: Run efficient kitchens, control stock and wastage, and maintain high hygiene standards. f) Staff Training and Development: Continuously train and develop local staff, passing on culinary knowledge and

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate for this role should have

Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end hospitality setting at least 4 years and above.
Certificate or diploma equivalent qualification.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Creativity and innovation in menu planning and presentation
Excellent knowledge of culinary trends and local ingredients
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service
Effective communication and team-building skills.
Proficiency in compliance with health and safety regulations.
