Job Summary: The Estate Engineer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and development of all infrastructure and facilities within an estate or property. They ensure that the estate is in compliance with safety and environmental regulations and that all systems are functioning optimally. The Estate Engineer manages a team of technicians and coordinates with various departments to ensure efficient operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

  1. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all estate facilities for the Company & Agave, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  2. Perform regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure timely repairs.
  3. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance and provide supervision on the same.
  4. Ensure all firefighting equipment (Bowsers, fire extinguishers, etc.) are on standby.

Equipment and Systems Management:

  1. Ensuring production goals are achieved by Monitoring and managing the performance of all estate equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality. (Corona, kayamba, Pressing machines etc)
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying appropriate solutions.
  3. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of the equipment.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  1. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the estate.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  3. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and safety-related activities.

Budgeting and Resource Management:

  1. Prepare and manage budgets for estate maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure development projects.
  2. Through the store department, source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for maintenance and operations.
  3. Optimize resource utilization to achieve cost-effective operations without compromising quality.

Team Management:

  1. To conduct quarterly performance evaluations and training for your subordinates
  2. Supervise and lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  3. Delegate tasks and ensure proper allocation of resources to meet maintenance objectives.
  4. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.

Environment management:

  1. You will ensure that the environment of the Go Down is clean at all times (Spraying weeds with pesticides, picking up cans, trees, nylon, etc., and ensuring that the arrangement of equipment/machines is correct at all times).
  2. Ensure that the cleanliness of the w/shop environment is clean all the time before and after work (Transformer area, w/shop toilets, Pancha sealing area, car/tractor parking areas, better handling of dirty oil and no spillage sprinkle lightly, make sure no leaves have sprouted, put rubble in hollow areas and level, etc.

To perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the superiors from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field) & a minimum of 4 years working experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Registered with a professional board will add an advantage.
  • Proven experience in estate management, facilities maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Age Limit (Between 30-45 years)
