Job Summary:
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Dairy Farm Assistant to support the daily operations of a growing dairy farm. The ideal candidate should have practical experience with dairy cattle and basic knowledge of animal health, and be willing to actively participate in all farm activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feeding and caring for dairy cows
- Milking cows and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Cleaning cowshed and farm equipment
- Monitoring animal health and reporting any issues early
- Providing basic animal health care and assisting with treatment
- Assisting with breeding activities (heat detection, calving support)
- Keeping simple records (milk production, treatments, feeding)
Requirements:
- Experience working with dairy cattle
- Basic knowledge of animal health and disease detection
- Hardworking, honest, and reliable
- Willingness to perform both skilled and manual farm work
- Ability to work early mornings and evenings
- Basic reading and counting skills
Preferred Qualification:
- Diploma in Animal Health or a related field
