Responsibilities
Projects Implementation:
Design, implement, and maintain networks.
Planning and monitoring of Programs of Works.
Planning and Supervision of works.
Develop and enforce Quality Standards (a continuous process).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop network solutions that support current and future needs.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce network security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access controls.
Maintain network security protocols to protect sensitive data and systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data privacy.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of configurations, diagrams, procedures, and adherence to contracts matters.
To report on projects status, expectations, and early warnings.
Contribute to the development of works-related policies and procedures.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with ICT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support ongoing projects.
Provide technical support – field works or after-sales maintenance, assist end-users, and mentor junior team members.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Conduct routine network maintenance tasks, including firmware upgrades, security patches, and configuration updates.
Troubleshoot network incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Conduct training for the Customer’s Support Personnel.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree may be preferred for more senior roles.
- Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), CompTIA Network+, or other industry-recognized certifications
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing network architectures, including ICT, AV, IOT, and electronic/electrical engineering infrastructures.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VPNs, etc.) and network services (DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NTP).
- Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other networking devices.
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and virtualization technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions or ELV systems.
- Proven experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Hands-on experience with network configurations, installations, and upgrades.
- Experience with cloud networking, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, is a plus.
- Prior work with routing and switching protocols in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to document network designs, present solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and mentor junior team members.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies and trends
- Project management skills to handle projects, plan implementations, and meet deadlines.
- Vendor-specific certifications from equipment manufacturers.
