Position: Quality Supervisor

Total Exploration and Development Uganda Limited (TEPU), CNOOC Uganda  Limited (CUL) and the Government of Uganda have discovered crude oil in the  Lake Albert area and want to develop and build an oil pipeline to connect  production from the Kingfisher area to Buliisa-Nwoya area of crude oil is  exported to the international market. 

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project is part of the Lake Albert  Development Project, a 1,443-kilometer transnational long-distance pipeline  development project that can transport crude oil from Uganda to Tanga Port on  the east coast of Tanzania . 

The EACOP system is divided into three components, above ground  installations (AGIs), pipelines and offshore storage terminals (MST).The above  ground installation (AGI) consists of 6 pumping stations (PS-1 to PS-6) and 2  pressure reducing stations (PRS-1 and PRS-2) along the pipeline route. 

The pipeline consists of 1,443 kilometers of 24-inch continuous heated export  pipelines, connecting the Kibaale hub pumping station (PS-1) in the Hoima  region of Uganda and the Tanga region storage reservoir in Tanzania . The  pipeline includes all intermediate valve chambers , electric heat tracing (EHT)  systems, high voltage distribution (HV) and fiber optic (FO) cables and related  equipment, as well as the EHT substation. 

Job Description: 

1. Maintain all Quality Control functions for the project, including planning of  Quality and control inspections and preparation of quality reports, responsible  to report to the QA/QC Manger on regular basis.  
2. Control corrective actions and do the proper Root Cause Analysis.
3. Control and assign Quality Inspectors as required as per the project scope  and demand.

4. Monitor inspections progress, review inspector’s reports and documentation  and keep the track of records, maintain log sheets, and make sure that all the  requirements have been met and that the required quality records have been  compiled and kept its records both (hard & soft-copies). 
5. Monitor day to day activities and organize toolbox meetings/monthly  training programs where violation/gaps are observed during quality work  activities. 
6. Handles and facilitates the implementation of OMS and QA/OC activities  during the Engineering Phase of the PROJECT; including the performance of  quality checks on relevant engineering output documents and deliverable. 7. Prepares, maintains and updates this EQP and other documented  information related to quality and ensures that these documents are  consistently and effectively implemented. 
7. Leads and supervises the internal audit team and/participates in the internal  audit of the CONTRACTOR; assessing the performance of the QMS within the  engineering SOW; and coordinates with external auditing parties  (e.g.Certification Body) in carrying out external audits. 
8. Handles and communicates all reported non-conformity, feedback and  complaints from any interested parties related to the quality of engineering  services, outputs and deliverables; and ensures that it is processed and closed  out according to corrective action procedure. 
9. Coordinates with other disciplines and functions within the engineering  team in matters related to the status, progress and achievement of the  specified quality objectives related to engineering. 

Job Requirements: 

1.Those with experience in EACOP project more than one year are preferred.

2.Minimum of 3 years’ experience required a similar role on large scale  Construction projects, preferably in Oil & Gas or other similar projects,  Specially in Pipeline.

3.A thorough knowledge of applicable international codes, standards &  Company/Operators.

4.Strong communication skills to articulate engineering concerns and solutions  to individuals with diverse technical backgrounds.  

5.Proficient in industry applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel,  PowerPoint, Teams) 

6.Effective collaboration in diverse, multidisciplinary team environments with  interface management experience.  

7.In-depth understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS,  standards like ASME, API, ASTM, NACE, BSEN & interpretation of fabrication  and erection drawings. 

8.Should have good physical condition, free from infectious diseases and other  diseases.
