The Co-operative Bank of Tanzania (Coop Bank) was officially registered on May 26, 2024, following the merger of Kilimanjaro Co-operative Bank Limited (KCBL) and Tandahimba Co-operative Bank Limited (TCBL), along with new share investments from Cooperative Societies, private institutions, and individuals. Licensed by the Bank of Tanzania (BOT), Coop Bank is set to commence operations in October 2024.
