Who are you

• You are an organized and detail-oriented person with a passion for community service and education.
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and can translate documents from English to Swahili and vice-versa effectively.
• You are proactive and able to initiate contact and liaise with various stakeholders, including volunteers, students, and government officials.
• You are a natural mentor who enjoys speaking to youth between the age of 18-22 years.
• You go to sleep at night dreaming about making a difference in the lives of students and high school graduates.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and update documents to advise Form 4, 5, and 6 students on Beyond St Jude’s Community Service programs. Please visit our website here to learn more about our work.
• Translate documents for Form 6 and Form 4 parents, government schools, and other local stakeholders.
• Initiate contact with accepted volunteers and coordinate with Form 4, 5, and 6 Coordinators regarding program developments.
• Record and store data related to Community Service applications, placements, visits, and reviews.
• Mentor and guide Community Service volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and impactful experience.

What we’re looking for

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational or non-profit organization.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in both English and Swahili, with excellent translation skills.
• A collaborative work ethic and the ability to work well within a team.
