Reports to Restaurant Manager

1. JOB BRIEF

The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions,
managing cash registers, and providing excellent customer service.

2. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently and accurately handle all customer transactions, including cash, credit
    card, and debit card payments.
  • Listen carefully to customer orders to ensure all details are correct.
  • Repeat the order back to the customer to confirm accuracy before entering it into the
    POS system.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the menu
  • Double-check each takeaway order against the receipt to ensure all items are
    included. Pay
  • special attention to any special instructions or modifications.
  • Regularly monitor the cash drawer throughout the shift to ensure the float is
    maintained at the required level.
  • Greet each customer with a friendly and welcoming attitude as soon as they enter the
    restaurant or approach the counter.
  • Listen actively to customers’ needs and preferences to provide personalized service.
  • Handle any customer complaints or issues calmly and professionally. Aim to resolve
    problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Speak clearly and confidently in English to ensure customers understand the menu
    options, prices, and any special promotions.
  • While proficiency in English is essential, knowledge of additional languages can be a
    plus, enabling better service to a diverse customer base.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable appearance at all times. A genuine smile helps
    create a welcoming atmosphere and can positively impact the customer’s dining
    experience.
  • Work in close cooperation with all other team members to ensure a smooth operation.

3. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • Diploma in accounting, business administration or any related field.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Competent level of English spoken and written
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
