We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Business Development Manager with a deep understanding of the chemical industry to lead our business expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying growth opportunities, building strategic relationships, and achieving business objectives in the chemical sector.
Location: Dar es Salaam
Education: Degree In Chemistry.
Experience: Proven 4-5 years of experience in managing roles with a selling background

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Continuously research, develop, and evaluate new chemical products to meet market demands and industry trends.
- Identify and analyze business growth opportunities within the Tanzanian market and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive market database for related chemical products, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
- Monitor and assess competitors, clients, suppliers, and partners to stay ahead in the market.
- Develop and update Category Plans for various chemical products, aligning them with market needs and company objectives.
- Establish and maintain a strong customer base by providing exceptional service and support.
- Develop a yearly plan for introducing new products and managing budgets effectively.
- Provide regular daily and weekly reports to the Division Head, keeping them informed of progress and challenges.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the registration process with the Tanzanian
- Bureau of Standards (TBS) and the Government Chemist Laboratory Agency (GCLA).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven 4-5 years of experience in managing roles with selling experience within the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of chemical product development, regulations, and market dynamics in Tanzania.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven track record in business growth and customer base development.
- Understanding of regulatory processes and compliance.
