The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) is a stock exchange located on Ohio Street, west of Kivukoni, south east of Dar es Salaam, the commercial capital and largest city in Tanzania.

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC (DSE) is seeking individuals with expertise in financial markets, corporate governance practices, and policy development advocacy to serve on its Board of Directors as representatives of minority shareholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine and maintain DSE’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Develop, promote, and monitor the implementation of DSE’s strategic objectives and plans.
• Ensure compliance with good corporate governance practices, corporate code of conduct, and ethics.
• Ensure accountability and compliance with laws by the DSE.
• Establish a comprehensive system of policies and procedures and ensure appropriate governance structures for the smooth, efficient, and prudent stewardship of the Exchange.
• Maintain proper strategic oversight for DSE operations.
• Select, support, and regularly review the performance of the Chief Executive and senior management of the Exchange.
• Maintain effective Board performance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a degree in Business Administration, Law, ICT, Economics, Commerce, or equivalent qualifications, coupled with business acumen.
• Have at least 10 years of experience in financial markets.
• Demonstrate a proven track record in advocacy for policy development.
• Exhibit high moral and ethical character.
• Possess relevant experience in good corporate governance practices.
• Have no criminal record or history of bankruptcy.
