Job Purpose:
The Accountant Payable will be responsible in facilitating timely payment to various stakeholder including supplier within payment terms. To check and verify if all invoices are accompanied with their proper supporting as well as reconciling invoices, verify and recording expense.
Key Accountabilities
- To collect and process all invoices for payment after appropriate purchase orders and authorizations have been obtained.
- To prepare payment list as scheduled and ensure payment has been approved prior to process payment order.
- Timely process down payment application received from supply chain.
- Abide to daily KPI (Volume of invoices processed number of queries resolved).
- Ensure all allocated invoices are captured before month end cut -off date.
- Ensure correct account allocation are coded in the invoices before booking the invoices in the system to minimize miss booking of company operating and capital expenses.
- Ensure all supplier account reconciliation are performed on a monthly basis
- Maintaining an effective filing and reference system to support management of the affairs of the finance department
- Review long outstanding invoices in the ledger and advise the department head to prioritize them for clearance
- Prepare down payment age analysis and submit to department head for review and action.
- Defining the supplier on the system and keep the supplier document and their information
- Sister company monthly reconciliation
- Account payable balance monthly revaluation
- Follow up and settlement the supplier advance payment
- Prepare the supplier aging and other AP reports
- Monthly reviews for supplier balances
- Undertake other tasks as may be directed by Management

- Communication Skills: Clearly convey financial concepts and cost implications to non-financial team members. Active listening is also crucial to understand production needs.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with production staff to align financial goals with operational capabilities. Being approachable and supportive fosters a positive working environment.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively, especially when dealing with tight deadlines. This ensures that costing information is provided in a timely manner to aid decision-making.
Qualification & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree Finance/commerce/Accounting in or a relevant discipline.
- From 3 to 5 years of experience in a business field.
- Good in Microsoft Office suite.
- Business fluency in English.
