Advocacy Officer (Railway Children Africa) reporting to the Executive Director and based in Dar es Salaam.
The role of the Advocacy Officer, he/she will lead the implementation of the advocacy work plan, support the project team to respond to advocacy issues emanating from fieldwork as well as coordinate the “Familia kwa Watoto wote alliance”. Additionally, the job entails coordinating with RCA Kivuko and Kesho Bora projects and the Department of Social Welfare to identify, recruit and train fit persons as alternative care providers for children rescued from the streets. This area of work contributes to reforming how children in need of protection and/or without their caregivers are cared for and provides an opportunity to pilot alternatives to residential or institutional care in the respective districts.
