About Us
My Zanzibar is a leading tour operator based in Zanzibar, recognized as a key player in the island’s tourism industry, particularly for French-speaking clients. As part of our development, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support our growing operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tools to track incomes, costs and expenses related to the company’s various activities
- Create reporting tools for management purposes
- File income declarations with the relevant authorities in Zanzibar
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Provide necessary data to the company’s partner consulting firm
- Manage HR-related documentation for employees
- Handle procedures for obtaining or renewing official documents required for the company’s operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in accounting or financial management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance in Zanzibar is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
