Job Position: 6X6 Truck Driver

Purpose of the position:

• Responsible for forwarding poles from plantations to different locations.

Key Result Areas and accountabilities:

• Comply with relevant health & safety requirements.
• Ensure the truck is loaded and offloaded appropriately
• Forwarding poles from plantation to designated areas on time
• Always keeping the truck in good working order.
• Work hand-in-glove with the maintenance team to ensure necessary repairs are done promptly.
• Observe the company’s policies and procedures, Transport Management Prescription enshrined in
• Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Complete a logbook daily

Skills, Knowledge & Competencies required to perform this role:

• Drivers’ licence class E. having class D, G and F is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Ability to complete the logbook daily.
• Defensive Driving
• Ability to drive a tractor & skidder is an added advantage.
• Excellent eyesight and hearing
• Proven analytical ability.
• Basic knowledge of heavy-duty machine mechanical layout and service requirements
