- Position: Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Officer (6 Positions)
Purpose of Role: The SHE Officer supports the development, maintenance, implementation and monitoring of Safety Health and Environmental Systems The SHE Officer will collaboratively deliver this strategy through simple, effective and scalable systems to proactively mitigate risk and improve our preparedness to keep our staff safe and healthy. S/he will also be responsible for contributing to the response to any situations that do arise, such as staff injury in the field, or offices or liaising with local authorities in the aftermath of safety incidents.
Accountabilities
- Hold regular (weekly) check-ins with Global SHE to discuss findings and determine necessary safety communications strategy.
- Act as a primary or secondary responder to safety incidents involving all staff during office hours, and escalating incident response management to SHE & Site leadership when necessary.
- Complete safety assessment checklists and develop recommended risk mitigation measures with some guidance from both local Global SHE leadership.
- Ensure the implementation of safety and compliance at all office/residence locations
- Verify with local authorities the conformity with the regulations, the mandatory licenses and reports.
- Verify the existence and validity of the mandatory H&S documentation of the Subcontractors and all the workers on site.
- Perform internal H&S inspections and audits, collecting evidence and reporting incidents and nonconformities, searching for continuous improvements of the processes.
- Collect and report periodically the data needed for the H&S KPIs calculations and monitoring. • Provide First-aid assistance in case of accidents
- Participate in emergency and fire-fighting teams in accordance with the specific plans.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Graduate in Food Science, Production Technology, Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, BSc Chemistry, Environmental Science, Resource Management, Agriculture or General Science
- 3 years relevant experience. • Certificate in Safety Management
- Ability to build teams and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. • Experience in a role that requires action as a first responder to safety incidents.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management System – ISO 45001
- Fluent in English and Swahil . Used to work with international, multi-cultural teams.

- Positions: Site Managers (6 Positions)
Job Summary
- Manage the efficient and effective delivery of site services and functional support services of procurement, human resources, industrial relations, training, logistics, transportation, administration, travel, accommodation for the EACOP Project
- Implement governance and assurance protocols across the project for compliance to contract requirements associated with the management of site services, facilities, and functional management
- Ensure predictable delivery performance while continually driving for improvement
- Management of functional teams supporting the delivery of the EACOP project
- Effective managerial oversight of Company camps, including assurance across contractor camps
- Effective managerial oversight across Company contractors providing support services and products for the ongoing operational execution of the project
- Responsible for the overall management of all vehicles/logistics/aviation activities • End to end process ownership of site services
- Make decisions for small scale projects involving own functional area.
- Manage results that have major impact on small scale projects and potentially the functional area in terms of cost, direction and people management.
- Report frequently to upper-level management.
- Make decisions typically related to resources, project approach and tactical operations.
- Act as a key advisor to senior site management on all aspects of future strategic direction for camps, logistics, performance of functions and aviation activities.
- Focus team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.
- Listen to the team, discuss the issues, resolve problems, and direct activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.
- Provide mentoring and participate in staff performance evaluations.
- Assist and support the Project Leadership/Management team to achieve Contract objective
Qualifications / Experience Required
- Provide on the job training and coaching to local content personnel, liaising either directly or indirectly with training providers to ensure training is provided and performance monitoring of such.
- Competency within industry applications such as Aconex, SharePoint, MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
- Degree/Diploma qualified in a Project management, /Engineering/Construction discipline,Accounts,Business Administration or any other related field.
- Positions: Field Supervisors (6 Positions)
Responsibility:
- Setting targets with Field officers and ensuring daily activity plan is in place. Continuously coaching and training Field Officer.
- Oversight of other financial products to saving groups such as insurance and savings for saving groups (Depending on VFT-MFB strategic plan).
- Assist Field Officer to manage troublesome groups.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Rural/Community Development, Marketing, Economics ,Business Administration, Accounts or any other related field.
- Very good knowledge of oral & written English
- Very good analytical & reporting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft applications
