Job Purpose:
- The general accountant will be responsible in facilitating timely payment to various stakeholder including supplier within payment terms. To check and verify if all invoices are accompanied with their proper supporting as well as reconciling invoices, verify and recording expense and handling routine financial tasks and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurately entering financial data into accounting systems.
- Recording day-to-day financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Ensuring all transactions are properly documented and categorized
- Assisting with the reconciliation of bank accounts, petty cash, and general ledgers.
- Identifying discrepancies in accounts and reporting them to the manager.
- Ensuring that all accounts are balanced and up-to-date.
- Reviewing, verifying, and processing invoices and ensuring proper approval is obtained.
- Assisting in the payment cycle, ensuring timely payments to vendors and employees.
- Tracking outstanding payments and following up where necessary.
- Organizing and maintaining accurate filing systems for financial records.
- Ensuring that records are easily accessible for reporting or audit purposes.

Qualification & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree Finance/commerce/Accounting in or a relevant discipline.
- From 2 to 4 years of experience in a business field.
- Good in Microsoft Office suite.
- Business fluency in English.
