Position: Early Years Educator (Ages 5-8)
Responsibilities:
- Engage and Inspire: Create a dynamic and interactive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
- Curriculum Implementation: Teach according to the Tanzanian national curriculum for Grades 1-2, integrating elements from international early years programs.
- Holistic Development: Focus on the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of students through diverse teaching methods.
- Play-Based Learning: Utilize play-based learning techniques to foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Individualized Instruction: Tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of each student, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.
- Parent Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child’s progress and involve them in the learning process.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that promotes respect and cooperation.
- Assessment: Conduct continuous and summative assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Early Education: A deep love for teaching young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
- Educational Background: A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching children aged 5-8, ideally within an early years program.
- Innovative Teaching Methods: Familiarity with play-based learning and other modern educational techniques.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various teaching environments and integrate different educational practices.
- Team Player: Collaborative spirit and ability to work well with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community.
