Key Responsibilities:
Job Title(HR Role): Finance Officer (Funding/Lender Management)
Location: Tanzania
OVERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Creating and Maintaining Quality Relationships with Lenders through-out Lender Management Cycle
Grant Management
Specific Tasks of the Role
- Create Pipelines and Establishing Contacts with Potential Lenders/Funders for VFT MFB
- Coordinating Initial Engagements to Introduce Lenders/Funders to VFT MFB
- Maintaining Monthly Updates of VFT MFB Profile for Potential Lenders/Funders Consumption
- Coordinating and Disseminating Information needed for Due Diligence Exercises
- Maintaining all Paperwork Relating to Lenders and Loans
- Work with Lenders and VFT MFBs banks to ensure complete registration of all loans as per Central Bank Requirements
- Engage with Lenders on the Technical Assistance Opportunities that VFT MFB may benefit from
- Preparing Monthly Foreign Debts Reports required by the Central Bank
- Ensure Compliance with Local Tax Laws and Regulations with respect to Foreign Debts
- Preparing Reports in the Format and Frequency Required by Lenders
- Maintaining a Current Covenants Compliance Report for Management Consumption
- Maintain Repayment Calendar/Schedule for all the loans, put the Finance Manager in the loop to ensure availability of funds for loan repayments
- Monthly Reconciliation Between Loan Interest Accrual Schedules and Accounts Records Maintained in the System
- Work in collaboration with Head Office Accountant to ensure Compliance with Grant MoUs (Conditions and Reporting Requirements)
- Any Other Duties as will be assigned by Supervisor
Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:
- List academic, technical skills or other knowledge required as a minimum qualification for this position.
- Must have a General Understanding of Microfinance Industry and/or banking
- Very good in communication skills both Spoken and written
- Finance/Accounting Background
- Very good analytical & reporting skills
- Good Understanding of local regulatory requirements especially around Foreign Debts
- List additional work experience required as a minimum qualification for this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft office application
- Model and demonstrate effective Christian Leadership and Devotions.
