Position: Key Merchant Sales, Merchant Acquiring
PalmPay is a Pan-African fintech company currently operating in Nigeria, Ghana, and expanding to other markets in 2023. We’re reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to getting financial services (Merchant Acquiring, Digital Lending, etc).
The Key Merchant Sales, Merchant Acquiring will be responsible for driving offline merchant acquiring among Key Businesses (Chain Stores, restaurants, Supermarkets, FMCG, Pharmacy, Betting, eCommerce, etc), and developing strategies to increase sales revenue.
The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong business cases and relationships with key merchants, and will be able to identify client demands to promote the organisation’s solution and achieve mutual satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Onboarding new Merchants with Company product and services.
- Train merchants on the benefit of our products, QR, POS Terminal, USSD, LIPA NAMBA, etc.
- Discover new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services.
- Setting goals and developing plans for driving business growth.
- Solve product/service issues reported by merchants.

Qualification & Required Skills:
- At least diploma degree in Commerce, Sales, Marketing or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as Sales – Merchant Acquisition role in Banks / Fintech / PSP.
- Has key merchant resources which can easily transfer into sales deals.
- Strong customer engagement, negotiation, analytical, and marketing skills.
- Extremely flexible, result oriented, full of passion, hardworking with a strong track record of success.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
