Job Title: Manager – Insights & Analytics
Reporting to: Head – Business Intelligence & Analytics
Division – Business Intelligence

Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
To develop and maintain reusable and secure insights and data analytics solutions that can serve the business needs of the organisation.
To facilitate getting data from a variety of different sources in the right formats, maintaining data quality standards, and assuring that downstream users can get that data quickly.
Main Job Functions:
Support the Shareholder return strategy by implementing the Division’s processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card. (I.e. Grow Market Share Grow ICT & Data Revenue, Increase EBITDA margins, Assure Revenue, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions).
Participate in Business Processes (i.e process optimisation through automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability) to drive efficiency gains to ensure at least 5% reduction in Divisional budget year-on-year.
Serve MTN UG’s customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
Improve MTN UG’s Net Promoters Score
Develop, test and maintain data pipelines that are scalable, repeatable, and secure and can serve business needs of the organisation
Collaborate with other division units in demand management to achieve the set delivery targets all year round.
Collaborate with other division units towards streamlining information management through supporting successful platform shutdowns and migrations, inhouse delivery.
Achieve service level delivery against the agreed business targets.
Adhere to data management standards, policies and procedures in order to manage risks associated with data.
Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Competencies)
Education:
First degree in any discipline preferably Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent
Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
Experience & Skills:
3+ years of work experience in Software Development and Data Science related projects in large organization
Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
Detailed working experience of data governance and standards.
