IT Coordinator

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit an IT Coordinator to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is based at Kabanga site. The successful candidate will be accountable to coordinate and execute IT support activities and operational standards for the IT systems including a virtual environment, storage, network, and desktops to ensure that all are functioning without any error.This role will be reporting to the IT Specialist and will work on 6/3 roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide a range of Tembo Nickel’s servers, database, and storage availability reporting to ensure that agreed levels of availability, reliability, and maintainability are measured and monitored on an ongoing
To carry out network administration, performance tuning, and capacity planning to continually assess the installation to ensure it is appropriate for current and planned developments making recommendations for change.
Tembo Nickel’s End User Computing Component Inventory and lifecycle i.e., IT Asset Management (ITAM)
Lead Disaster Recovery initiative from a technology infrastructure perspective including documenting recovery procedures of all critical components.
Coordination with department heads in resolving technology
Enforcing technology policies and standards across the organization.
Day to Day management of IT operations at the site.
Monitor network and Communication equipment including the VPN tunnel between the head office and Kabanga.
Train technology and other staff in technology-oriented systems and issues.
Ensure all hardware and software are implemented as per Tembo Nickel policy and
IT Configuration Management Database(CMDB)management.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer Science.
3-5 Years of work experience in a reputable organization.
Microsoft Certified
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Strong technical skills in internetworking (WAN /LAN) support, Cisco Routers and switches, MS Office, and SQL/Oracle database systems.

SENIOR GIS SPECIALIST

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Senior GIS Specialist to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is reporting to the Projects Superintendent. The Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist is responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining GIS databases, coverages, layers, and linkages to various databases. The roster for this role is 6×3.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform GIS database development, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and mapping.
Produce detailed, high-quality cartographic products (digital and hardcopy) and accompanying reports by technical guidelines and project requirements.
Communicate with project team members and other stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and desired outputs.
Compile, manipulate, and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including but not limited to, CAD, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps.
Perform quality control checks of GIS Data and non-spatial databases with minimal supervision to ensure data integrity.
Manage individual project tasks related to GIS, database design and management, and data visualization
Customize GIS workflow and software programs for data.
Identify opportunities to maximise safety using geospatial information.
Design and implement workflows for processing, managing, and publishing geospatial information products.
Interpret business requirements and perform spatial analysis, data modelling and web map configuration to solve mining and construction-related problems and opportunities.
Skilled at managing ortho imagery, elevation, dense point cloud and topographic data sets.
Proficient in designing and building enterprise GIS solutions, including spatial data models, data management workflows and web applications.
Developing mapping applications and tools.
Converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum 5 years of ESRI ArcGIS experience AS/BS in Engineering and Surveying or related field and related spatial discipline.
Previous experience in developing GIS project deliverables.
Able to perform field data collection activities requiring long durations of walking and climbing stairs.
Able to travel for extended periods for up to three weeks at project locations.
Proficiency using ESRI ArcGIS Software, Autodesk Software, and Microsoft Office is desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

CAMP & FACILITIES COORDINATOR

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Camp and Facilities Coordinator to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for overall management of Camp and catering contractor to ensure quality service delivery and value for money. This role will be reporting to the HR Manager and will work on 6/3 roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

To manage all daily, weekly, and monthly operations of the camp
To ensure that camp and catering contactor provides all guests the Tembo Nickel experience, compliant with our high standard of service offering.
Review invoices from the contractor before processing.
Lead score card meetings every month and addressing all service delivery issues with the contractor.
Health and safety including protection of all guests, staff, property, and equipment (all company assets to be managed to limit potential loss to Tembo Nickel.
To ensure safety procedures are in place for guests both in the property and when participating in activities, excursions, and transfers, as well as for staff, property, and equipment, in coordination with all Managers.
Ensure that overall repairs and maintenance of the camp are being followed through, focusing on preventive maintenance in coordination with Maintenance Team.
Ensure all procurement, stores and stock control are being followed correctly, in accordance with the camp
Ensure that the overall hygiene of the camp is in place and maintained to a high
Ensure that all areas and guest’s facilities are always up to standard.
Ensure menus are balanced and the quality of the food is stable and high class.
Deal with guest complaints immediately should the manager on duty require

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in facilities Management/ Hotel Management, Accounting or Administration.
Minimum of 5 years’ Experience in camp Management/Hotel Management.
Excellent customer service skills.

TRAINING LEAD

Position Summary:

Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Training Lead to join Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is reporting to the HR Manager. The successful candidate for this role will drive training strategy both technical and non-technical and will ensure that all employees are properly trained to operate every equipment used on site in a safe manner. The roster for this role is 6×3.

Duty Station -Tembo Nickel Project site-Kabanga

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop competency and capability to ensure a skilled workforce is developed for Kabanga site roles.
Identify training requirements, develop, and schedule training needs, monitor, and maintain training records for the Kabanga site workforce.
Development and implementation of safety systems, procedures, standards, and initiatives to establish high operating and performance standards for Kabanga site.
Identify improvement opportunities in work processes to reduce risk exposures to personnel. Implement value adding initiatives through structured change management processes.
Ensure all site incidents, investments, workplace injuries and related documentation are managed and completed in line with existing standards and procedures.
Develop competence-based matrix for each role at Kabanga Site.
Ensure site compliance to company and site standards, relevant local and national legislation.
Prepare site Training budget and recommend training opportunities for Kabanga site employees.
Develop the knowledge, skills and abilities of employees and associated personnel in accordance with Tembo Nickel policies and procedures.
Provide support and assistance to the site for the resolution of safety and environmental issues and champion the consistent promotion of organizational policies, procedures and objectives and comply with organization safety reporting standards.
Ensure compliance to leading indicators and execution of required leadership interaction with departments.
Continuously improve the safety and training culture of the site.
Ensure site associated personnel receive training and assessments that meet the competency requirements of Kabanga site systems.
Deliver compliance to training plan / schedules in collaboration with line management.
Complete on the job follow up and field assessments as per the Safety, Environmental, Quality and Training Management Plan.

Skills and Qualifications

Certificate IV or similar Qualification in Workplace Training & Assessment.
Sound knowledge of technical area operations particularly in Underground Mining.
Qualified to operate all equipment for which training is conducted
Formal Mines rescue Training.
Minimum of five (5)years supervisory experience in a mining operation.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in safety and training.
3 years’ experience in technical area of mining operations.
