We are looking a RESIDENT MANAGER for our MELIÁ COLLECTION NGORONGORO LODGE (TANZANIA) – NEW OPENING
HOTEL DESCRIPTION:
- New opening for June 2023.
- Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Ngorongoro District.
- A breath-taking 8.000 meter squared natural oasis.
- More than 25.000 large animals live in the crater.
- Based on fossil evidence found at the Olduvai Gorge, it is known that various hominid species have occupied the area for 3 million years.
- Corporate and Social responsibility plan.

- 5-star Lodge.
- Complete refurbishment of an existing lodge as a Meliá Collection.
- One of the best views to Ngorongoro Crater area.
- 56 Keys in total: 23 suites, 33 rooms.
- 1 bar, 2 restaurants, 1 spa, 1 infinity pool.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Providing direct support to the Cluster General Manager of Meliá Collection Serengeti and Ngorongoro Lodge, the role would be responsible for:
- The Operations of the Hotel: planning, coordination, management, supervision and analysis of results from all Hotel Departments.
- Direct and inspire the high performance of hotel teams continuously evaluating and maintaining high service, quality and productive processes and workflow.
- Ensure the smooth implementation of the procedures and policies of Melia Hotels International in alignment with the strategic plans.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as Resident Manager or similar positions.
- 360 degrees of Hotel Operations knowledge.
- Background in rooms/guex would be desirable.
- Expertise in Luxury Hospitality would be desirable or very detail oriented person.
- University diploma / degree, preferably in Tourism (or equivalent Hospitality and Tourism studies).
- International experience is preferred.
- Functional knowledge of all department operations.
- Attention to detail & a passion for excellence.
- Demonstrate ability of Human Resources Management & Talent Development.
- Knowledge of IT tools used in hotel management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High geographical flexibility is preferred.
- English language (verbal and written) is mandatory.
- Able to reside in Tanzania.
