Reports to: Head of Business Development
Purpose for the Job
The business development role will be responsible of generating new businesses, ensure growth in portfolio and retention of existing clients.
Key Accountabilities
Identifies, targets and builds new relationships with existing and potential clients for revenue growth.
Develop a credible pipeline of prospective clients and growth strategies that allows for the achievement of individual monthly and annual targets.
Clearly articulates value propositions to existing and prospective clients.
Responsible of creating targeted sales and marketing plans.
Take part in the development of various products distribution channels.
Maintain a calendar for marketing campaigns.
Foster existing relationships to protect existing books of business.
Provide weekly and monthly production reports
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field
4 years relevant experience with demonstrated success in a similar position preferably within the insurance industry
Experience in sales management with a proven track record.
Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) or ACII
