Travel Coordinator

About the job

The Travel Coordinator will be responsible for supporting business travel and reservations.

Key Responsibilities

Support corporate as well as group travel reservations.
Confirm reservations, distributes tickets along with confirmations to traveller.
Coordinate, supervise and implement every aspect of travel arrangements for staff and executives
Maintain queues to assure approvals as attained as well as deadlines are met.
Review travel associated invoices as well as statements for accuracy
Ensure to compare invoices with genuine travel transactions to validate every charge.
Identify most suitable as well as best quality service with reasonable possible rates.
Perform with Travel Agency to verify travel details and arrange reservations using existing flight schedules as well as Internet resources.
Researches and compares available travel and hotel accommodations to identify the best available option for each travel need.
When travel arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget limits, makes all arrangements and reservations as requested.
Prepares travel itineraries and distributes travel arrangements and schedules to all appropriate staff.
Obtains approval for travel requests and expenses that exceed established limits.
Review travel associated invoices as well as statements for accuracy
Processes reimbursements for travel expenses.
Advise staff and assist with any need for specialized travel documents such as visas or passports.
Monitors and facilitates the use of company air travel credit cards, frequent flyer programs, and other applicable rewards and loyalty programs.
Ensures travel and safety reminders are consistently researched, reviewed, upload and shared to all staff.
Ensures Travel SharePoint and Intranet are updated and being tracked.
Research and apply for corporate travel accounts
Ensures and monitors corporate accounts are active.
Ensures Travel process, policies and other documents are up to date and consistently followed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

Diploma in Travel Operations
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of the travel industry.
Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and to identify the best choice to serve a specified goal.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additionally the candidate should be knowledgeable in Accounting and experienced in using Quickbooks.
