Job Overview

The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is vested with the responsibility for the maintenance and development of the trunk and regional roads network in Tanzania Mainland. It is also responsible for conducting axle load control operations using weighbridge scales.

TANROADS Coast, on behalf of the Chief Executive, is looking for qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant posts available for two (2) projects:

Upgrading of Utete – Nyamwage (33.7km) to Bitumen Standard

Contract No: TRD/HQ/1036/2022/23
Construction of Mramre Bridge (81m) and its Approach Roads (3.0km) to Bitumen Standard

TANROADS intends to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill vacant posts on specified employment contracts for the road project in the following fields: Remote work opportunities

Materials Engineer (1 Post)

The Materials Engineer will be responsible for conducting and supervising materials investigations and ensuring optimal design and construction standards for pavement structures.

Qualifications:

Must be a registered Professional Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering or Pavement/Materials Engineering.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in pavement materials related to road works.
Must have served in at least two (2) road projects of similar magnitude.
Proficiency in English is mandatory.

Specified contract for 1 year.
