Sales & Marketing Intern

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support Intern to join our company. The ideal candidate will assist the sales team in prospecting new business and expanding our customer base. Additionally, the intern will support marketing initiatives and customer support activities to ensure that our clients receive excellent service. We are looking for a genuine self-starter who has ability, potential, and a thirst to learn and grow as the company does.

Responsibilities

Marketing responsibilities include:
Assisting with the content on our new website and all of our materials.
Assist with developing marketing campaigns, social media content, and email marketing efforts.
Playing a leading role in building marketing campaigns and promotions, including cross promotions, partnerships with other companies.
Selling us in for events and creating and hosting our own.
Developing content – both written and video.
Managing content and distribution across our social media channels.
Sales responsibilities include:
Assist with lead generation and qualification by conducting research on potential clients and identifying new business opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
Preparing documents and proposals to send to potential clients and arranging meetings.
Occasionally taking initial calls from inbound enquiries, confidently explaining our service and capturing necessary information in the CRM
Gathering up-to-date information on our sector and our competitors
Customer Support responsibilities include:
Support customer service efforts, including responding to client inquiries and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
Work with other team members to develop and maintain client relationships.

Requirements Ideal Qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity.
Applied understanding of basic sales & marketing principles
Ability to work with a diverse virtual team
Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn etc.)
Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
Basic photography, image and video editing, as well as graphic design skills
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PPT)
Experience with the use of Canva and social media management tools
Experience with Zoho Suites will be an added advantage
Background in bookkeeping, accounting will be an added advantage
Superb interpersonal skills, including ability to build rapport with clients quickly
Understanding of the sales process and dynamics
A Degree in Sales, Marketing, Economics, Business or related field
1-2 years Sales and/or marketing experience
