Division: Corporate Division – Minet Risk Solutions

Reporting to: Head of Business Development

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The business development management role will be responsible for generating new businesses, ensure growth in the portfolio, and retention of existing clients.

Key Accountabilities

Identifies, targets and builds new relationships with existing and potential clients for revenue growth.
Develop a credible pipeline of prospective clients and growth strategies that allows for the achievement of individual monthly and annual targets.
Clearly articulates value propositions to existing and prospective clients.
Develops business growth strategies to help drive revenue growth.
Responsible for creating targeted sales and marketing plans.
Clearly understands client needs and can tailor-make solutions to address the needs.
Participates in product development and creation of marketing collaterals to support targeted value propositions.
Take part in the development of various product distribution channels.
Maintain a calendar for marketing campaigns.
Foster existing relationships to protect existing books of business.
Provide weekly and monthly production reports

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required

The job holder must possess the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field
5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated success in a similar position preferably within the insurance industry
Experience in sales management with a proven track record.
Diploma in Insurance (AIIK) or ACII

Competencies and Attributes in the following areas:

Expertise in international medical product knowledge.
Exhibit high-end qualitative broking skills on international corporate & individual products.
Ability to interpret financial and technical proposals to clients.
Foster relationships with all international medical insurers.
Ability to understand competitor offerings and how to elevate Minet offerings regularly.
Ability to scan the Insurer market for new developments, products, acquisitions, etc.
